Thank you very much for all the answers and suggestions. Of course, I didn’t steal the item from the hotel, which is why I don’t have it at home.
Besides, given its bulky size and weight, it would be difficult to transport it in my luggage.
I find it unlikely that it’s a carrying pole for the following reasons:
- The item is really heavy (approx. 5–10 kg)
- The narrow part in the middle would have to bear the greatest load, so what’s the point of the wider sections on either side? They would only add extra weight to the load being carried.
- What is the purpose of the steel-reinforced tips and the horn-shaped attachments?
- The carrying poles shown in the pictures are all as thin and light as possible—no comparison to the unknown object.
And... of course, I also had the idea of a carrying pole at first and tried it out. As I said, very heavy and very uncomfortable. It is absolutely impossible to carry the thing on your neck; it tips over and rests on one edge of the middle part.
The only acceptable option would be to carry it over one shoulder, with the recess facing upward, but then the attached loads would slip off.
I would think that the object is part of a larger assembly, where the recess fits into a corresponding counterpart and it is secured using a rope around the horn knobs.
The reinforced tips then serve to perform some kind of work.
Could this be part of some kind of agricultural device?
