It is hard to read the descriptions of the knives in the catalog. I just spent an hour or two playing with Photoshop to try to read the small type. Best I can make out is that slid refers to the "slide" or sheath and skaft refers to the "shaft" or hilt. A slidknif would roughly translate to an English sheath knife.

The main materials for the hilts appear to be ebenholz or "ebony" and masurbjork or "curly birch." The latter being the prominent light yellow color with dark streaks.
