yes the cupped iron guards to protect from water in the scabbards and the pointy asymmetrical blades are pretty typical of the Khampa peopels sword and long knives. this spcific style is further north than the boarder with arunchal pradesh , in Nyringtri there is many makers outside of town and they traded their swords into the tribal groups into arunchal pradesh where that Nyringtri style of tibetan sword is common.. but they make the round cupped style of guard and a more hatchet tip, a different style .. these pointed asymmetrical style are made further north east.. i think. this style with the deep cupped ribbed iron guard but unlobed pommel i believe comes from garzie/kardzie

and the other lobed style that has a very deep cupped flattened guard i believe comes from southern amdo from around the Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture.
