Inside the tughra it says in Turkish
sahib ahmed ‘amel-i hüseyin kalfa
“The owner Ahmed, work of Hüseyin Kalfa”
The tughra form itself might be the word
malik, another word for “owner”
The date above is 1229 (1813-14)
The first line of the inscription in the long cartouche is of a type common on yataghans. In Turkish:
ya muhammed kıl şefaat ümmetindir ahmed
“O Muhammad intercede for Ahmed (on the Day of Judgement), he is [from] your community”
The second line is the ubiquitous Arabic phrase:
la fata illa ‘ali la sayf illa dhu’l-fiqar
“There is no hero but ‘Ali, no sword but Dhu’l-Fiqar (Zülfikar)”
