Sadly, I don't see the videos on YouTube any more. However, the Canary Islands art of Salto del Pastor uses metal-shod poles that are quite similar to pikes. There used to be a video showing a craftsman making one out of canary island pine wood, but it's no longer up. It looks like there are resources at
