Gills Britah manufacturing sword

Chaps,
What have I just bought, ricasso marked Gill's and GILL British Manufacturing ?? Is this an old Victorian copy as I can't see Gills writing this on there blades.

Ottoman Turk flintlock pistol, german manufacture

Pistol style if early 1700s Saxon Bavarian style with nicely etched mounts and lock of mounted Tueks chasing Euopeans in bicorn hats, lovely Damascus barrel has an Islamic cartouche.

No, it's well made but too much spring to pierce mail, blade and resin/ leather construction reminds me of maasai lionspear/ swords and don't think this is a Victorian copy and not quite the quality...

European sword PL with Islamic? markings to guard

Friends just shown me a sword he picked up in Bali/ Indonesia, shop keeper said it was Dutch, has a small crowned PL ( Paul Luneschloss?) to the brass knuckle guard and what looks like Islamic?...

Thanks gentlemen, yes I'd assumed it was for turning pages as per the European patterns. The item itself is fairly large, roughly 40cm long all up.

!!!!!!!! the blades a slivers of Ivory, I'd assumed it was for turning pages, cant see how it could be used for cutting betel nuts unless it's just a decorative piece.

Well it's not really a blade but the handles just so pretty, blown away by the carving of the temple guard inside the handle.
