Thanks Jim for your response! I really looked into rapiers today. Apparently the length is not exceptional and there was a period when this was the standard. Despite that, it remains a strange sword....

Klebit bok shield

To revive this old thread, here are some pictures of a klebit bok that I won at an auction last week. It's had a rough life but it appealed to me. Dimensions 125x35 cm.

I also think they are 19th century copies. I do suspect that the blade of the second copy is older and may have been reused.
