Browsing the internet.. I see the curling hilt finials to my dagger are similar to those on some dagger and sword hilts in the European bronze and iron ages. Mere coincidence ?

The book "African Weapons" by Fischer & Zirngible, describe this type as Tetela.

The large nails to the brass sheet on the pommel, don't seem right to me however, but I could be wrong.
