Spear with iron binding to retain head

Finally got this spear, I put as new tread as I wanted to change title to reflect the spear.
Attached overall length 1.2 M spear with digging end and spear head.

I purchased the attached on a whim as it was going cheap at an auction and I had no real clue as to what it is except that it was a cross bow
