Asking about a blade

I'm not sure what this is called. 10 or 15 years ago I bought a knife but it came to me without the handle. I just put it away for years. What is your advice on it?

Yes, it's foot long rule for scale
Most shafts were damaged in shipping. Some had antique repairs from use or being mounted on a wall for display (drilled holes) maybe early English collection.

Keris handle

One of my keris has a loose handle. Is this a common thing?
I think the ring with stones under the handle can come off too.
As you can tell I don't know much about them yet.
