 Carlos,
A Timor sword indeed. This sword is called Rugi Glamang. North Sulawesi, Alor. Nice one. |

A VERY NICE AND ATTRACTIVE EXAMPLE, CAN'T ADD MUCH EXCEPT THAT THE POMMEL IS SAID TO REPRESENT A HORSE HEAD ,TRUE OR NOT  CONGRADULATIONS ON A NICE SWORD :D

 Congrats, Carlos!
Yes, indeed a Rugi from Alor. I'm not sure where the reference to North Sulawesi is coming from, Albert? The carving and rattan work looks genuine - maybe early 20th century or turn of century? Could you please provide a pic of the face of the bells? Do you plan to clean the blade, Carlos? Regards, Kai |

 thanks

 Hello Carlos,
Please post some better pics of your sword! Hilt made from wood with iron ferrule? There seems to some relationship with the 2 unusual examples discussed in this thread: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showthread.php?t=13524 Regards, Kai |

 Hello kai
I saw the other post but unfortunatelly I sold the sword and I haven, t it. Sorry carlos I remember that hilt was made of wood and blade was very thin and flimsy, maybe not for use. I bought in Ebay to a indonesian seller |
