This would be much better split into two posts.
The keris should be posted in the Keris Forum.

The Achenese dagger in the Ethno forum.

Could the first one be a remounted spear ? The hilt looks similar to a type found on a rentcong

I wasa hoping Utami or Albert would have more on this and they may yet. As I said before the hilt does look aceh, like a form of hulu geureupong ( hulu puntung ). From what I understand these hilts are usually made of horm but sometimes from a coral called gabha ( akar bahar ). I have never seen one with this type of blade and still think it may be from a spear. Teh blade shape, slight swelling at the center of the blade, central ridge and throat all make me think that. The only short blade I can think of from Indonesia that the blade may even slightly resembles is a Pilitai and this to me at least does not have enough of a resemblance to those to point in that direction. sorry I do not have more

Hi :)
Sorry John, for late response.

as far i can see , i'm agree that the hilt is aceh style from the shape & size. And the sew on the scabbard also the aceh style. The acehnesse ussually sew the leather on the center of the scabbard. You can see this sew type on some sikin leather scabbard. But I can not identify the blade :( as far as i know, the acehnese very rarely made double edge weapon. Most of their weapon is single edge.
