Unknown wooden object

Last year I was on holiday in Stockholm and discovered an interesting decorative object in my hotel room:

A wooden object, about 1.5 meters long, slightly curved with pointed ends and a rectangular cutout in the middle.

The points are capped with iron, and to the right and left of the cutout are two horn spikes, attached with leather.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

At first, I thought it might be a carrying frame, but the sharp edges of the cutout would make it rather uncomfortable for that purpose.

There's also a sticker from the seller on the back, written in Chinese (?) script. Perhaps someone can read it?

Best regards
Peter

AI: "This item is labeled as a jujube-wood carrying pole from Hua Yi Furniture, with item number B604040047."

Looks more like 75604040047.

Early prehistoric Klingon bat'leth?

Or maybe a bow-stringing assistant tool?

Hello,
You write it was a decoration in an hotel room.
Did you take it home as a souvenir ? 🙃😁

I personally don't believe AI blind. But with a little bit research, here at first the term "Hua Yi": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hua%E2...Yi_distinction
"Jujube" is a fruit, see the first pic. and under a a carrying pole I understand what the next pictures it shows!

Hello Peter,

Like seen in the pictures I posted, these carrying poles are not really comfortable. Sometimes they lay under a bolster but in most cases these poles are carried directly on the shoulder, a hard work and strong shoulders. Like I said, I would believe AI here, it's exactly what the label says! :)
Do you have it in your possession now? ;)

Regards,
Detlef

Thank you very much for all the answers and suggestions. Of course, I didn’t steal the item from the hotel, which is why I don’t have it at home.
Besides, given its bulky size and weight, it would be difficult to transport it in my luggage.

I find it unlikely that it’s a carrying pole for the following reasons:

- The item is really heavy (approx. 5–10 kg)
- The narrow part in the middle would have to bear the greatest load, so what’s the point of the wider sections on either side? They would only add extra weight to the load being carried.
- What is the purpose of the steel-reinforced tips and the horn-shaped attachments?
- The carrying poles shown in the pictures are all as thin and light as possible—no comparison to the unknown object.

And... of course, I also had the idea of a carrying pole at first and tried it out. As I said, very heavy and very uncomfortable. It is absolutely impossible to carry the thing on your neck; it tips over and rests on one edge of the middle part.
The only acceptable option would be to carry it over one shoulder, with the recess facing upward, but then the attached loads would slip off.

I would think that the object is part of a larger assembly, where the recess fits into a corresponding counterpart and it is secured using a rope around the horn knobs.
The reinforced tips then serve to perform some kind of work.
Could this be part of some kind of agricultural device?
