 What Ariel said!  Comparing this with Fig.62 in Cato's Moro Swords I come to the conclusion that it's a variation on the Naga motif . A very nice acquisition ; congratulations !! |

 I just saw this on your site (grumble, grumble, envy, envy :mad: ).  Nice piece, I would guess middle of 19thc especially due to the carving. |
