Dear all,
I am posting here pictures of a knife my dad brought from Nepal, two decades ago. I have not been able to identify it. I would like to hear your opinions on what is this item.

The tang is full and has two planes riveted to it for a handle, I could not determine the material. The back of the blade is rather thick, around 0.5cm.

An interesting knife. Looks like it might have been sharpened nearly straight, thus it might have had a "belly" like the kukri at one time.

Or...given it's orgin (if it is Tibetan) it is also possible that the slight belly that is displayed on the blade is from removal from an even straighter starting point. Most of the Tibetan knives i have seen with this single fuller tend to be rather straight blades. Sometimes they have a bit of a drop point, but i don't recall seeing simple knives like this from that region with kukri style blades. :shrug:
