Restoration help, looking for a large piece of buffalo horn! A friend recently found a Kukri while going through his uncle's house. It seems that this man was in the China-Burma-India theater during WWII, and, among other things, brought home a Kukri with a buffalo horn grip. The grip is now in spreads, dermistid beetles having a field day over the last sixty five years! There is enough of it to use as a pattern, but that's all. So, a good, solid piece of black or dark brown horn would help me get this project off my bench in time for Christmas. I'll post pictures and measurements when I get to my shop. |
