Copper Spears

6 Attachment(s)
I just got two of these, almost identical.

I have owned copper and brass headed spears in the past but these are completely made from copper.

57 ins long.

The only thing that springs to mind is some type of currency spears, but these are usually just the heads.

I don't think they are even "pretty" enough for tourists :D

Any suggestions ?

Regards
Roy

I think these are currency or "bridewealth", probably from Congo.

Nice piece.

Regards.

I still don't know their origin...

I recently obtained another full metal spear from Congo (around 1940). Like the others, I didn't find any info so I posted it in the same topic as the other full metal spears...hopefully one day someone will see the light!
135 cm in length.
