Request for Help with Kaskara Research I am due to make another presentation to the Arms and Armour Society on continuing research into the Kaskara and my tentative classification. I desperately need a copy of "European Blades in Tuareg Swords and Daggers" by Dr. Lloyd Cabot Briggs (Journal of the Arms & Armour Society Vol.5 #2, 1965) in any format - a scan would be perfect. Can anyone help? Many thanks in advance, Stephen. |

I'm in the process of tracking down a copy. I should know by the end of next week if it's possible. I'll be happy to share if I do get my hands on it. |

To update, I have a copy on order. Hopefully it will arrive next week. :) |

...available as one of 12 journals on a CDROM from The Arms and Armour Society - arrived today. Great value at £10 :) |

thanks for the info, :D |

How could one get hold of that CD, if I may ask? |
|
...actually, it was £15 I think. The first ten volumes of the Journal are available on cdrom at £15 each for members and £20 for non-members. I paid the Treasurer for mine at the last meeting and it was posted to me. I will find out at the next meeting the contact details and post them here. |

Ms. Bailey of the Arms and Armour Society has kindly advised me that details on ordering this disc can be found at this link. I really wish more resources would provide this :) These journals have always been like treasure in my years of research, and I look forward to getting this!!! Thank you Stephen for bringing this to our attention. mailto:armsandarmour.soc@btinternet.com |
