Jambiya?

Hi there,

I was hoping someone could tell me what I have here. Could it be an Iraqi jambiya? Tourist junk? Something else? Also any ideas as to what the handle would be made from. It looks a like horn of some type.

Any comments would be appreciated. :)

hello,

This is a nice southern Iraqi dagger. Its an authentic piece and it seems that they still make those there. Handle is likely to be ox horn.
