Borislav - it's excellent work ! The rifle looks great !
I was doing some small restorations as well and knows how much effort it costs.

By any chance can you share what do you use to make red ornaments on mother of pearl ?

Wonderful!! Work with mother of pearl is not the easiest thing on the hands and time consuming.

I want to show you my last restoration of a Bulgarian boylia rifle. I look forward to your comments. The barrel and the lock are original. All others parts are not original. I made them.

Your work is very inspiring! I collect ethnic guns as well as vintage American long rifles, and most of mine are well worn. A couple of my long guns suffered from poor amateur restoration attempts. To see a relic like what you started with get restored to its former glory is a testament to your skills.

Ah! At last I found this thread..

I have a Boylia that was given to me in a terrible state. I have started to restore it, but had no idea what I was trying to achive..

The rear of the stock is missing as are the forward barrel bands..

I have managed to scrape off some of the thick coats of dirt and clean the lock which is in quite good condition, but is missing the wings on the top screw..
