Another example from India but visibly not so elaborate as they are usually seen.
Almost touching the extreme of simplicity, this shows how things may loose their art and sophistication over time to only become practical.
With its maker's name inserted, it may well be a gift specimen, to publicize those for sale... so i guess !
I wonder if those symbols on the lower handle are letters or numbers ...

I have a similar example. mine was bought on Zanzibar, where ofcourse they have influence from India.
