(Need Infos) Islamic armourers and their works
 
Dear all,
I maybe plan to buy that book, Islamic armourers and their works, from A. Mayer.
Before buying this (expensive) book, may i ask if somebody got it ?
Is it a really good books ? Does it have photography of makers marks ?
Do you recommand to get it in the library?

Not expensive if you buy a reprint (around 50 euros)

It's an excellent piece of scholarship, however you won't find it particularly useful unless you can already read signatures.

First of all, thanks to you both, your response were perfectly what i wa looking for.
(a little joke for Kubur, i like my books as i like my sword... original. Hahaha. I think, i'm a sword, but also a book collector :D ).

Actually, i was thinking it was an identification key of Islamic armourers, based on photography of marks.
Sadly, i can't read all thoses marks, so maybe it's not worth to buy it for now.
Nevertheless, do you know if there is an existant books about identification of islamic armourers marks on blades, based on photography ?
