Though most probably of this century and noted by Lew to be new, this is an attractive representation of the monkey deity Hanuman in good condition. The figure stands 26 inches tall and weighs 86 ounces. Composition is painted wood and possibly plaster, though the white material under paint chips may be some other sort of undercoating. A green brown overwash suggests age at first glance.
