The robust and nearly straight 22½ inch double-edged blade of this kris has been formed of layered steel and the vague chevron-suggesting darkened patches are actually iron inlays. The gangya is well formed. The stirrups (asang-asang) are of copper with faint tinning or silvering remaining and are anchored by the ends of a metal strip running around the midline of a darkened wooden hilt bound with cord and also secured by a white metal ferrule. The wooden scabbard shows signs of early deterioration and is bound by rattan strips. Lew dated this as circa 1930. Overall length with the scabbard is 27½ inches with a weight of 36 ounces.
