53 - Indonesian Tumbak (Spear) Blade Mounted as a Dagger

The 8½ long blade arises from a round base and has a slight waviness with laminated pamor (mechanical Damascus steel) with strong contrast. The form of the blade suggests it was made as a spear point and later remounted as a dagger. The mounts, dated by Lew to the mid 20th century, consist of hardwood with white metal trim elements. Overall length is 14¾ inches with a weight of 8.3 oz.
