The cross-guard of this takouba of "southern" type is covered with sheet brass showing engraved decoration. The surfaces toward the blade, grip and sides are of copper. The guard is reinforced by two iron rivets with square brass washers. The pommel is of brazil nut form, with a decorative copper band at the top.

The short blade is otherwise of the typical form, having three narrow fullers, the central being the longest. The fullers appear to be forged. The half-moon marks are degenerated into semicircles. Overall length: 79 cm. (31 inches); blade length: 65 cm. (25.5 inches).
